Get Fodmapedia as a mobile app

While Fodmapedia is not available on the App Store or the Google Play Store, you can still get Fodmapedia as a mobile application by installing it as a shortcut on your Android or iPhone.

The app is a handy tool to use when you’re quickly looking for info on a food ☺️

On iPhone, iPad & Android 😊

The shortcut will appear as an icon on your home screen, indistinguishable from all the other applications on your phone.

Let’s start with iPhones & iPads (Android users, click here, or keep scrolling).

On iPhone & iPad

Here is a video, or scroll down for written instructions:

1. Open Safari

Safari is your internet browser:

2. Enter fodmapedia.com/index-en in the address bar

You should land here:

Be sure to include “/index-en” at the end (fodmapedia.com/index-en). If not, you will land on the French version.

3. Tap on the ‘Share’ icon

See the icon circled above. You should arrive here:

4. Scroll down and click on the “Add to Home Screen” button

Here:

5. Then click on “Add”

Done! You now have Fodmapedia as an application directly on your phone 😃

6. Move the application to the front page

If you’re like me, and you eat every day, you’ll probably want Fodmapedia on your home page. Here’s how to move it there:

  • Touch and hold the Fodmapedia icon,
  • Then tap on “Edit Home Screen”
  • You can then drag the icon to the first page.

You’re all set!

With the Chrome browser.

If you’re a Firefox user instead of Chrome, it’s called “Install” (instead of “Add to Home screen”):

On Firefox, the name is different.

That’s it!

5. Move the application to your home screen

I don’t know about you, but — personally — I eat every day. .

Having Fodmapedia on my home screen is really handy.

  1. I prefer to use Firefox on my Android phone, but the usual “Add to Home Screen” item on the drop-down menu isn’t there when I am on Fodmapedia. I wasted a lot of time trying to work out what was wrong before I stumbled across the reason. Instead of “Add to Home Screen”, there is an “Install” item, which neither of us had noticed. Using that, it is straightforward to add the Fodmapedia app, which so far seems to be working very well.

    • Thank you Jenny for this feedback, I’m sorry you had to spend time on that 😔
Thanks to your comment, I just added guidance for Firefox, it indeed works there as well.
      Have a great day!
